Reducing Executive Stress In Just a Few Minutes
Stress is a worldwide killer. The United Nations and the World Health Organization refer to stress as an epidemic and costing businesses $300 billion profit a year in business.
It is largely ingrained in business culture that as an exec climbs higher in the organization, so too should their stress level. After all, that’s why they get paid the big bucks – right?
This puts stress level as almost a metric for success.
In real terms – stress is unnatural and extremely unhealthy. It is also completely unnecessary.
Once business leaders get stressed and energy depleted they start working on autopilot. Decision effectiveness drops dramatically and productivity and relationships start to fall apart.
It is surprising then, that in the high tech world of business today, that many execs are resorting to low tech methods to overcome stress. And no, I am not talking about the wine bottle or little white pills. I am talking about an extremely simple – yet extremely powerful technique called EFT [ Emotional Freedom Technique]. Now, this name may not resonate well with many execs – but just keep reading for just a bit longer.
Stress is an emotion – it is driven by powerful hormones and is both positive and negative, depending upon the cause. In its positive form, stress motivates achievement; in its negative form it can be distressing and debilitating.
Most of us have experienced that ball in the stomach feeling – that’s an block in the energy flow in the body. EFT works to release the energy blockades through-out the body, thereby reducing the physical symptoms of stress, enabling better sleep, better mental ability and higher energy levels.
